Booking and refund terms
Version 1, 24 August 2026. These cover every Vantage event and programme.
What you are booking
A place at a Vantage event. Some are single sessions, such as a career talk, a technical session, an IT support session or a networking evening. Others run over several weeks, such as the group cohort. There are also one to one and apprenticeship options arranged individually. What each one involves is on the programmes page.
The dates, the venue, the cap on places and the fee are the ones shown for that event at the point you book it. They differ between events, and events do not all run in the same place.
Who can attend
You must be 18 or over.
Where a session is hands-on, it assumes basic computer literacy: that you are comfortable navigating a computer, managing files and folders, using a web browser and working independently with everyday software. No coding or technical background is required for any session.
What the fee covers
Some events are free to attend. Where there is a fee, the amount and what it covers are shown with that event on the booking page.
On the group cohort, programme delivery is free and the contribution covers the venue, refreshments and programme logistics. The one to one intensive and the apprenticeship are priced for the tuition.
How you book
Listed events are booked and paid for through Eventbrite, and Eventbrite's own terms apply to that transaction alongside these. The one to one intensive, the apprenticeship, group bookings and private sessions are arranged directly over WhatsApp.
Your right to cancel
You have 14 days from booking to cancel and get a full refund, with no reason needed. This is your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Where an event falls inside that 14 day window and you asked us to go ahead, you may be charged in proportion to what has already been delivered.
To cancel, send a message on WhatsApp. A sentence is enough.
Cancelling after the 14 days
- More than 7 days before it starts: full refund.
- Inside 7 days: we refund what we can still recover, and offer you a place at the next comparable event.
- Once it has started: no refund, but your place at a later one is held.
If we cancel
If an event cannot run we will move it and tell you as early as we can. If it cannot run at all you get a full refund, whatever stage it has reached. You will never be asked for more money than you booked at.
If you cannot afford the fee
Say so before you book. Send a message on WhatsApp. Nothing about it goes on any public list.
What to bring
For hands-on sessions, a laptop. If you do not have one, tell us when you book and we will sort something out. Nobody is turned away for this. Talks and networking events need nothing but yourself.
Conduct
The sessions are small and people share their situations in them. Anyone treating another attendee badly will be asked to leave, without a refund.
Photographs
Photographs are sometimes taken at events. Tell us on the day if you would prefer not to appear in any, and you will be kept out of them. Attending is never conditional on agreeing to be photographed.
What we do not promise
Vantage is training. It is not a job guarantee, a qualification or an accreditation. Where the apprenticeship covers funding applications, that is help preparing and submitting them, not a promise that any application succeeds.
Who you are booking with
Vantage runs independently. It is not a limited company or a registered charity, and it is not part of any other organisation.
For anything to do with your booking, send a message on WhatsApp at +44 7876 265264.
